I’ve loved clip-frame purses ever since I was small. I find that there’s something so satisfying about the noise of the frame as you click it firmly shut.
This handy purse would make a great gift for a child or an adult, to store either pocket money, make-up essentials or knitting and crochet notions.
The raised texture of bobble stitch creates a beautiful circular motif that is both pretty and tactile.
Front and back are made separately.
Lining is cut and glued to edge before attaching to purse frame.
Purse frame is attached by sewing and remaining open edge is then close with a slip stitch.
Yarn required is 4ply cotton, with 3mm (US C/2 or D/3) crochet hook and a 10cm round purse frame.
As with all my projects, it's a perfect stash buster for oddments of cotton yarn, so
enjoy having a mooch in your stash to see what you can find.
Full instructions are provided, including round-by-round charts.
Instructions are for BOTH US and UK crochet terminology.
